Frequently Asked Questions

I receive an error message (error code E-xx) on my display, what does this error message mean?

In some cases it is because the product is not properly connected or there are other things that are not right. Always use the original wiring harness (power connection). Any adjustments may void the warranty. 

Below are the most common error codes:

E-00
NO MISTAKE

E-01 
Under power - your battery does not have enough power, please charge. If the battery is sufficiently charged and still gives the same error message, it may be related to one of the issues below: - Cable harness has been extended (Please note that any adjustments may void the warranty! If you still want to extend the cable harness, use a minimum of 6 mm thick cable.- Multicontroller is set to 24V, this must be 12V. - In addition to the existing fuse, an extra fuse box has been added


E-02 
Overvoltage - Voltage is above the allowable level, reduce the voltage to 12v.


E-03
A. The glow stick may be defective, check whether the glow stick is still intact. If it is still intact, you can connect it directly to the 12V battery for a few seconds (not too long) to see if it glows. If this is not the case, the glow plug may be defective.

B. Check the voltage.
C. Check if it cage is not blocked or dirty
D. The battery may be damaged, preventing the glow stick from glowing. The voltage may be sufficient but cannot heat the glow plug
AND. If all of the above has been checked and is all good, then it may be that the combustion chamber is dirty. This is because the parking heater has been continuously running at a low temperature. You can prevent this by regularly running the parking heater at a high temperature. (see combustion chamber video) If this is the case, you must disassemble and replace the parking heater.


E-04
Fuel pump disconnected. Check the cable to the fuel pump, check that the plug is in place. The pump may be clogged. Gently tap the diesel pump a few times. (The use of kerosene may be the cause). Could be low voltage.

E-05
Overheated! Check that the air inlet at the back of the heater is not restricted, check that the fan is not blocked. Check that the installed air vent is not blocked. Also check that the heating duct is not crushed, restricting air flow.

E-06
Fan motor failure - Normally caused by low voltage. Check the magnet sensor at the fan. This may have shifted and is not straight on top of each other. The parking heater may be mounted too tightly, preventing the fan from turning properly.

E-07
Communication between the controller and the heater is lost, check cables and the connection plug. Here too, there may be a low voltage. The problem may also be caused by a mismatch of the multi-controller or motherboard (printed circuit board).

E-08
- Low fuel

- Air in the fuel lines (can be caused by driving with low fuel)

- Check whether the fuel filter is full. 

- Can be low voltage.

- Pump is not mounted correctly, it must be at least 45 degrees
- Fuel leakage, check the fuel line
- Check whether the diesel pipe is not doubled
- If there is any air in the fuel line, you may receive an E-10 message after an E-08 message. This is because too much diesel entered the parking heater during pumping. The diesel will now drip down through the exhaust or through the air intake. 


E-09
Check the temperature sensor, it probably needs to be replaced.

If this is not the problem, it may be related to the motherboard.

E-10
One or more of the above error codes and the device has restarted a number of times without success.   

WARNING! 

Notifications E-08 of E-10 If the parking heater is turned on without there being diesel in the tank, the parking heater may become defective. Returned goods are always carefully checked for damage. Returned goods caused by the buyer will not be returned! Just like with your vehicle, when the diesel runs out, dirt can get into the bottom of the tank, which can damage the parking heater. Therefore, always make sure there is sufficient diesel in the tank!

How can I link the remote control to the multicontrol (display)?

Please note: The remote control is supplied without a battery as standard. The required battery for the remote control is type A27, also known as doorbell battery.

To successfully pair the remote, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold both the "on/off button" and the "OK button" on the remote control at the same time.

2. Wait until the message 'for pairing' is displayed on the remote control.

3. On the multicontrol, press and hold the "right arrow" button until 'HFA-' appears on the screen.

4. First press the "on/off button" on the remote control and then immediately press "OK".

5. If all steps have been completed correctly, connecting bars will appear on the top left of the multi-control.

Switching on the Parking Heater (Priming the Fuel)
Priming, or priming the fuel, must be done only once when starting the heater for the first time. Follow the steps below:

1. Press and hold the OK button and press the Down Arrow button (bottom left + bottom right) at the same time.
2. The display shows 'H oF'.
3. Press the Up Arrow button.
4. The display shows 'H oN' and the pump starts clicking.
5. The Pump symbol appears on the display.
6. The pump will continue to click for approximately 2-3 minutes.
7. If necessary, repeat the Down Arrow and Up Arrow steps to achieve sufficient fuel priming.
8. 'Sufficient' means that the diesel has passed the pump and is almost at the burner.
9. When enough fuel has been primed, press the Down Arrow button to stop priming.
10. Depending on the situation, it may be necessary to repeat this procedure several times.

Starting up the parking heater
1. If priming is successful, press the 'Power' button (middle right button).
2. The burner undergoes some tests and the fan starts running.
3. After about a minute and a half the pump starts working.
4. After about two minutes, warm air will start to come out.
5. After about three minutes the heater is running at full power.

Turn off the parking heater
Important: Before switching off the parking heater, let it run at full power for a few minutes. This prevents soot deposits in the combustion chamber, which can eventually lead to a defect.
1. Press the 'Power' button for a few seconds to switch off the parking heater.
2. The fan continues to run to dissipate the remaining heat.

Battery Voltage and Other Display Functions

Press the OK button to cycle through different display functions:
- Current temperature
- Target temperature
- Battery voltage
- Error-code-log
- Time

Change from Hertz to Celsius
Press and hold the 'Setting' (*) button and the 'Arrow key' (▲) for 3 seconds to switch between Hertz and Celsius.

Main control modes and Mode change
There are two main control modes: temperature control mode and heat pulse control mode.
- Temperature control mode: The heater automatically generates maximum heat until the set temperature is reached, after which the heat output is reduced to maintain the temperature.

- Heat pulse control mode: Here the user sets the frequency of the fuel pump pulses, which controls heat production. Higher pulse frequencies increase heat production. The fan speed is automatically adjusted to maintain an acceptable exhaust temperature.

To switch between these modes: Press the * and ^ (old model) or * and < (new model) buttons simultaneously. If "P-" and numbers are displayed, you are in Heat Pulse Control Mode. Press the same buttons again to return to temperature control mode.

Manual Control of the Fuel Pump
You can run the pump manually to fill it (without heater or fan). Be careful with this function to avoid fuel build-up and smoke.
1. Press the ^ / < button to switch from 'H-OF' to 'H-ON'.
2. The green pump icon lights up and the pump starts pulsing.
3. Press the v /> button to turn off.

  • Start-up, warm-up to operating temperature and shutdown consume a total of 2 Ah.
